After Wizards of the Coast acquired D&D Beyond, it seemed reasonable to assume that the oddities of its early days, namely the incorporation of non-WotC features, might be behind it. But evidently, the Darrington Press- (Critical Role's game publishing wing) released Tal'dorei Campaign Setting Reborn will be added to D&D Beyond, along with its many subclasses, items, and other features. (As a player of a Wizard currently wearing a Coat of the Crest, it would be nice to be able to incorporate the actual features onto my D&D Beyond character sheet.)
I do wonder, then, what this will mean for 3rd party stuff going forward. TDCSR is, of course, basically a companion piece to the WotC-published Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, and the previous 3rd party stuff we got on Beyond was Matt Mercer's Blood Hunter - a class tied to CR's Exandria setting (though one that also basically lets you play as a Witcher or a Werewolf or a few other flavors of monster-hunter-who-took-on-a-bit-of-monstrousness).
Still, it would be very cool if things like MCDM's Beastheart, Illrigger, or Talent were also introduced to D&D Beyond.
It'll be interesting to see how CR's relationship with D&D continues going forward. We're starting to get the first details about Daggerheart, Darrington Press' progression-based fantasy RPG - which is evidently unlike Kobold Press' new RPG in that it's significantly stepping away from 5E mechanics (apparently it uses 2d12 instead of a d20 system).
Anyway, there are some cool things to be found in that book, and if this means we see more College of Tragedy Bards, Juggernaut Barbarians, or Runechild Sorcerers, that's pretty neat.
