We got four major announcements this morning in the opening ceremonies that just closed.
In brief:
Diablo:
Diablo IV is coming, and looks to be super Grimdark, with the release of Lilith, the demoness who, with the Angel Inarius, birthed the first Nephalem and is thus the mother of humanity. Three classes are known: the Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid. Other than just being another Diablo game, I don't know if we know much about the gameplay.
Overwatch:
Overwatch 2 is coming, and with it, there will be more single-player and PvE content to tell the game's story. In a bit of welcome news, players who are still playing Overwatch 1 will be able to play with players in 2 on the same maps, and any cosmetic rewards you've earned in the first game carry over to the second - this is a pretty great way not to divide the playerbase and to make people feel more excited for the new game.
Hearthstone:
Descent of Dragons is going to be the finale to the E.V.I.L. vs Adventurer's League story they've been doing, with a major dragon theme as well as a new multiplayer mode called Battlegrounds.
Warcraft:
The next WoW expansion is Shadowlands, and while details are still filtering in from various angles, there will apparently be a level squish (players currently at 120 will go to 50, with a new cap of 60) and there will be a roguelike-style thing called the Tower of the Damned where players can progress through a shifting dungeon. Additionally, there will apparently be four different Covenants that players can choose between to get new campaigns and even abilities, based on the different factions within the Shadowlands.
