Amazon has, as is their wont, leaked that there is a new D&D book expected to release in March of 2022. We don't have a title, but there are a few things I could speculate about.
First off, the big adventure book of the year tends to release in the fall, and our most recent was The Wild Beyond the Witchlight (with Rime of the Frostmaiden the previous year and Descent into Avernus the year before that.) So it's probably not that.
It's possible we'll get another adventure anthology like Candlekeep Mysteries, which was well-received (controversies aside) and they've said they're planning on making more of those.
However, we also know that some new campaign setting books will be coming out as well.
The recent Unearthed Arcana certainly points to the likelihood of a Spelljammer sourcebook. Autognomes, Giff, and Plasmoids are all pretty firmly in that setting, and I believe Hazodee and Astral Elves also fit (though the Astral plane is not where Spelljammer is set, at least in earlier editions.)
However, I believe that Thri-kreen were first introduced as a playable race for the Dark Sun setting (which is actually one of the first D&D settings I became aware of.) As bug-people, they'd fit in the anything-goes Spelljammer setting, but I could also imagine Dark Sun, which at least used to be a pretty popular setting, might see print again.
Anyway, three days and we'll know. Personally, I think a Spelljammer announcement actually seems most likely, but it remains to be seen.
